You knew they wouldn't stop with the kids.

The Theopublicans have squandered hundreds of millions of federal funds to preach their own personal morality in the government schools. We all know about the abstinence programs that government is funding which brings Christianists into the school to preach Christian morality. But why would you assume they'd stop there.

They haven't.

Now the government is spending millions to preach an anti-sex message to grown adults. Under new federal guidelines millions will become available to preach the abstinence message to adults between the ages of 19 and 29.

Have done any articles about the federally funded homosexual "tolerance" programs that are also being pushed in schools?

If they were an attempt to impose religious values on people I would. But there is a difference that you should be aware of. One is an attempt to change private behaviour that does not the rights of others. Intolerance towards other students is not private behaviour that doesn't hurt anyone else. It easily, and often, leads to physical attacks and regular bullying and violence. As long as governments required students to attend then they are obligated to provide a safe environment for those they incarcerate. And if there were incidents of Christians being harassed and bullied at school then I would include that in the program. But normally they are they ones doing the harassing. No student should be harassed or bullied at school and the school has a positive obligation to prevent that from happening.

It is the difference between regulating your right to worship (which should not be done) and preventing you from sacrificing people on an altar (which should be prevented). The first is your own private business. The second violates the rights of others and is thus it is proper to step in and prevent this. Schools are places with lots of different people and unless a student is somehow violating the rights of others then it is the obligation of everyone else at school to leave them alone no matter who they are.

I would completely agree with you, if "providing a safe environment" was the goal of these programs, but I think you know good and well that it is not. And Bible believing Christians are bullied more than any other group in public highschools.

Do public indecency laws not apply, in your opinion, in this day and age?

It is precisely about a safe environment from bigots that is required and that is the issue. It's called live and let live. It is absolute rubbish that Christians are more bullied than anyone else. You hear of fag bashings but never hear of gangs running around and beating up Christians. What the Christianists mean by being bullied is not being able to use captive audiences of students to preach their message, what they mean is not having access to tax supported institutions to promote their agenda (as if they aren't doing that through the welfare for churches plan called "faith based" initiatives).

Your last question may, or may not be a case of public indency depending on what you mean. Certainly bigotry is indecent but then I assume you think it mandated by god. But exactly what public indency do you mean? I suspect that as a Calvinist it won't be difficult for you to find things indecent but I don't know what you mean precisely.
